For the launch of the limited edition Minecraft x Croc's collection, we created the first ever pair of Crocs with AR capabilities. Through TensorFlow image recognition technology, Croc's owners could scan the signature Creeper bolt on their Minecraft Crocs to unlock two exclusive, branded WebAR experiences.
Embracing Minecraft's dual "Creative" and "Survival" gameplay modes, we concepted Crocs Creator - a "Chilled" sandbox builder where players could craft and share their Minecraft fantasy builds using 3D rendered Jibbitz.
For a rush of adrenaline, players could jump into Croc's Crossing, a survival-based, infinite run game. Gamers played as Minecraft characters to collect Jibbitz and avoid Creepers in a race for survival in the fiery Netherworld.
Offering a digital reward for physical purchase, we connected the distinct worlds and communities of Minecraft and Crocs in a spirit of through creativity, self-expression and adventure.
A multi-award winning campaign and shortlisted at Cannes Lions' 2024, the campaign recieved 1.78 billion media impressions, a 300% jump in social media mentions, and attracted thousands of players online to gain attention from the world's advertising press.
