To celebrate the ascension of Evil Dead Rise in UK cinemas, we created an authentic 3D modelled replica of the iconic 'Book of the Dead.' We fed its nightmarish demonic illustrations and text-to-image prompts into a custom SDXL model, to create a chilling digital experience.
Curating a library of Deadite illustrations from the tainted text, we trained a powerful custom SDXL model and used ControlNet to ensure the likeness of the user.
Through this AI generator, horror fans could transform into 'Deadites’ and unleash their dark sides in a demonic twist on the traditional photobooth experience.
Levelling up the traditional movie photobooth to craft an immersive digital experience at the movie's experiential screening, fans enthusiastically shared their demon doppelgängers across social media, and immortalised themselves in the Evil Dead universe.
Thousands of fans contributed to the film's theatrical success by spreading awareness and fear online through their bespoke shareables.
