Netflix Bites
To support Netflix’s experiential foray into the culinary world, we were commissioned to design and develop a high-impact microsite for Netflix Bites, a premier residency at the MGM Grand. The objective was two-fold: create a premium digital gateway for fans to engage with the brand IRL and provide a seamless utility for reservations and menu exploration.
Targeting both dedicated foodies and the broader Netflix community, the site served as the primary touchpoint for the Las Vegas launch. The result was a functional, responsive culinary hub that allowed guests to browse menus and book their seats via integrated reservation software, all while maintaining the binge-worthy allure of the Netflix brand.
Our approach
We took a ""Screen to Table"" approach, leaning heavily into the bold brand guidelines of the Netflix Bites identity to mirror the punchy flavours featured on the menu. Evoking the excitement of a premiere, we anchored each page with a high-impact hero section inspired by the iconic ""CHOMP"" sequence.
We amped up the digital energy by pairing a clean, minimalist layout with snappy, scroll-triggered animations and playful graphical flourishes. To ensure the experience felt fresh upon every visit, we implemented a dynamic color continuity system where transitions flow in harmony with each interaction.
By prioritising a mobile-first UX, we ensured that hungry diners could navigate the lively menus and location details with ease, creating a digital experience that was as elevated and appetizing as the physical dining room itself.
The results
The launch of the Netflix Bites microsite successfully bridged the gap between digital fandom and physical experience. Unveiled for its residency at the MGM Grand, the site became the central engine for a massive wave of reservations, helping Netflix successfully test and validate its regional "food-fan" targeting strategy.
Beyond the technical performance, the project garnered significant social engagement and press coverage, providing fans with a memorable new way to savour their favorite shows.
By delivering a secure, accessible, and aesthetically arresting platform, we helped Netflix cultivate genuine fan joy and aggregate critical data on the future of their live experiences. The project proved that when you combine iconic IP with an intuitive digital interface, the result is a fully booked house and a community hungry for more!
