To promote Top Gun: Maverick and build anticipation for the release we partnered with Paramount Pictures to create a digital AR experience that helped fans determine #WhatsMyCallSign.
Our approach
Using 8th Wall face-tracking, we placed holographic helmets on users and asked them a series of questions. The results created a helmet & call sign personalised to them. Users could then customise their helmet further by selecting a different design, or typing in a call sign of their choice. Users exited the experience with a personalised shareable selfie in their custom helmet.
The results
The experience was localised for over 40 territories, with tailored experience versions for multiple exhibitor and brand partners including Showcase, Vue Entertainment, IMAX, Coke, Lady GaGa and many others.
The call sign generator has created a massive buzz on socials and the media since launch in May 2022, and was even featured on US TV, with an appearance of Jon Hamm using it during an interview.
